Blue October Any Man in America CD Album Review

“Blue October mastermind Justin Furstenfeld has made a career out of wearing his heart on his sleeve, a tradition that is carried over onto the band’s sixth studio offering.”

The Things They Carried There’s Something I Can’t Tell Anyone CD Album Review

“It’s an unpredictable, confrontational assault on the senses. Guided, yet frenetically chaotic. Screamo was never my thing, and granted, maybe this review should have been written by someone who has an appreciation for the genre, but There’s Something I Can’t Tell Anyone captivated me.” -AB

Crosses EP Review – featuring Chino Moreno of Deftones and Shaun Lopez of Far

“When longtime friends and neighbors Chino Moreno and Shaun Lopez announced their joint pet project earlier this year, no one could have expected it to have come to fruition as quickly as it has. The debut EP from Crosses, featuring the aforementioned Deftones frontman and Far guitarist, has all the urgency you would expect from such a seemingly spontaneous collaboration and yet all the focus and professionalism you have come to expect of the duo.”

SuperHeavy SuperHeavy CD Album Review

SuperHeavy is a supergroup consisting of Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, Damian Marley, and Allah Rakha Rahman. It didn’t make me feel anything. Sure, it was interesting. But interesting doesn’t make the hair on my arms stand up, and if that doesn’t happen, I can’t recommend it.

Evanescence Evanescence CD Album Review

It’s been five long years since the last Evanescence album. Nearly every other review talks about her opening lyrics announcing she’s back. Yes, she’s back. Unfortunately, not much else is happening. Trust Company Dreaming In Black And White Album Review

“Aside from a few minor kinks, “Dreaming in Black and White” is a solid and successful comeback from a band that always deserved better.”

Alter Bridge AB III Album Review

“Alter Bridge is everything a rock band should be nowadays; Progressive yet accessible and technically skilled song-writers who keep their music down to Earth. Not only are they outdoing themselves with each consecutive release, but they are putting quite a few of their contemporaries to shame in the process.”

Sully Erna Avalon Album Review

Sully deserves even more credit than previously given; he delivered a solo debut that goes against the Godsmack grain and still delivered.

Finger Eleven Life Turns Electric Album Review

“It’s hard not to think of Finger Eleven without thinking of the band they started as MuchMusic darlings, decked out in baggy jeans and prototypical late `90s/early `00s haircuts, with a unique sound falling somewhere between Our Lady Peace and Korn.”
