Buried Treasures – Discover New Music – 8/15/10
By: Andrew
It’s time for another edition of Buried Treasures. Stop jumping up and down. I mean it. Stop.
Let’s start out with something that will absolutely provide you with enough strength to lift a Buick. In 2008, Max and Igor Cavalera released Inflikted under the Cavalera Conspiracy moniker. This beast of a track is called “Sanctuary.”
There weren’t clouds in my coffee this morning. In fact, I didn’t have coffee until the evening. Taime Downe ruled, and technically, may still rule. I don’t know. But, this is a fun cover of the Carly Simon classic.
No. I’m not just putting this up because Pete Murray, the band’s singer, was formerly in Ultraspank. Remember those guys? Right up there with Pulse Ultra. Anyway, the band is Lo-pro, and they also feature former Godsmack drummer Tommy Stewart. This song comes from their 2010 release, The Beautiful Sounds of Revenge. It’s called “All I Have” and was written for the troops. Great track that most likely, will never be heard. And the track below is slightly different from the album version, which is ten times better.
Just watch this video. In Flames rules. This song should be played live during every set. Look at the crowd.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crowd as involved as that In Flames crowd.
Faster Pussycat will never get the credit they deserve. They were much more than Poison Ivy and House Of Pain.

God your taste in music is eclectic. Post more of these. I think some of the songs suck but it’s always good being exposed.
