Stay Away: Schleppers Moving And Storage – New York Moving Company

Most of our audience lives in New York City, so I feel this public service announcement is necessary. Please keep in mind, I’m a veteran of this place, so I feel the need to speak up. My skin is thick, so very little offends me. But, this absolutely got under my skin.
There is a moving company called Schleppers, who apparently, according to them, have been servicing the moving needs of New York City since 1978. They drive big orange moving trucks, and their employees wear orange shirts. You might have seen them around.
Did you ever wonder how some people get hired? What is the screening process like at this company? Does it say SCUMBAG, BOTTOM OF THE BARREL LOWLIFES ONLY on the application form?
Around 2pm, give or take a little in each direction, children are let out of school and onto the streets. For over an hour today, these animals are screaming and cursing about a dolly in front of these children. Picture every curse word in the book, and they used it. Look, I’m all for passion, and I know people can get heated, but for two hours, screaming, in front of kids – words that I don’t even use in my daily life. This behavior is unacceptable. I’ve lived in New York City for what seems like forever, and never did I see anything like this…ever. You don’t do this in front of children – ever.
These people are an embarrassment and everything that’s wrong with our country and corporate America. I would think twice before hiring anyone from this place, unless you want scumbags moving your stuff. Cursing at each other, for hours, in front of children? Are you kidding me? These are the same people that if that language was used in front of their kids, they’d go nuts.
I would rather carry my stuff than call Schlepper’s.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. In the club business, I’m always getting asked about moving companies and always refer them to Big John’s, who apparently is very good. I will definitely not be mentioning this place.

These cats pad their reviews on review sites. You can tell they’re writing their own shit. I move in a Uhaul now and absord the parking tickets. Fuck these moving companies. They all suck balls.
