Cold at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale 9/20 Concert Review
By: Andrew Bilach
The band was Cold. The venue was the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, NY. The date was Sunday, September 20th, 2009. Attendance was lousy. The venue was 1/5 or 1/6 full. There was good reason, though. The show was on a Sunday evening and went up against a Giants/Cowboys game. Also, Cold previously played the Blender Theater in Manhattan twice this year, so there wasn’t a need to travel.
Taproot was direct support. “Poem” was the last song they played, and the only song I heard, as I walked in a minute before they left the stage. I think the last time I saw Taproot was in 2000 or 2001 opening for Deftones. I didn’t even know they were still around. I think a small amount of people left after their set, as the venue seemed less full by the time Cold took the stage (11:15pm). They played an hour. Most of their set came from their latest release, A Different Kind Of Pain. Odd. They sounded good.
How’s that for a show review, folks? It was a good show. I mean, what else can I say?

That was a miserable review. You can do better than that.

Andrew does not write eloquent reviews.
