Maybe its just me, or maybe its just the three songs I listened too, but the song writing is not as great as you make it sound, the actual band is terrible (I could play guitar better, and I don’t play guitar) and the guy can’t sing. I’m not saying you’re wrong… oh wait…

My girlfriend loves these guys and dragged me to PHILLY to see them last time because she couldn’t make the NY show. It’s “odd” to see AKF writing about them. Are you going soft on us or just trying to get the female demographic numbers up?

I was dragged to one of their shows in NC last year and all I can say is if they’re in your town and you have the cash to spare…go catch these guys live. It’s a religious experience. I hope you can get them on the show because I’d like to learn a little more about them.

I’m not a folk rock guy and only swings towards the outlaw country but I can’t deny the songwriting. There were rumblings about the Avetts for years now and getting on Columbia might be the worst thing for them. They’ll be destroyed just like Atlantic murdered Shadows Fall. Kudos to AKF for trying something new and not being ashamed to promoted all types of music.
