Gong Rocking The Kix Shirt

Jason Jones’ shirt from a Drowning Pool Desensitized photo shoot has caused quite the stir. I’ve seen this photo many times over the years and never paid attention to his shirt. It was one of those things that I should have noticed, but never did. In all my years, I’ve never seen anyone wear a Kix shirt. I immediately went on a Kix kick, and actually listened to all five of their records. A lot of listeners did as well, because I found myself getting chatted up about Blow My Fuse. It’s 2009, and yes, I’m conversating about a Kix record from 1988. Great stuff.

Anyway, I messaged Jason to see what was up with the shirt. I needed to know how it was acquired. Above, I mentioned I never saw anyone wear a Kix shirt. Let me go a step beyond and say I’ve never even seen a Kix shirt. Apparently, he was provided the shirt by a Wind-up Records stylist to use for the shoot. Of all shirts, huh? Not Slayer. Not Slipknot. Not Ozzy. Not Skynyrd. Kix! This is as bizarre as it gets.
