Papa Roach – Blender Theater – New York, NY – 3/10/09 – Concert Review
By: Andrew Marten
I review music and shows in my own way, so here’s my take on tonight’s Papa Roach 10th Anniversary Show at the Blender Theater in New York City. I’d like to note that the staff at the venue were very friendly. You don’t see that a lot these days.
- The show was tremendous. They played all their hits, and between two and four new tracks.
- Their new material stands up very well against the old material. The highlights of the set were the tracks from Infest and the new record.
- Is it me or are New York crowds becoming like Los Angeles crowds?
- I’ve always said they’re one of the best live acts in the world. They’ve never proven me wrong.
- Worth every penny.
- Tonight I realized how much “She Loves Me Not” is their worst “hit” song.
- They took a group bow after the show. As you know, I’m big on this and think it’s respectful.
- The band appears at home on-stage and truly enjoys being there. Darius mentioned this in his review of the Los Angeles show.
If they come to your area, go to the show. You won’t be disappointed. Then again, if you ever listened to All Knowing Force, I’ve said this hundreds of times. So, there you go, two live reviews from both 10th Anniversary Shows.

They didn’t play Never Enough but the set was perfect. Straight through, no encore. As he said WORTH EVERY PENNY. Except the $7 beers.

I was at the NY show and have heard it was much better. 20 per ticket. I’m seeing them again St. Patty’s Day with Buckcherry in Jersey.
