I used to be a fan of professional wrestling and that’s something I’m not afraid to admit. I try to watch every Wrestlemania, and used to attend shows at Madison Square Garden in 1996 and 1997. I also had the pleasure of experiencing Extreme Championship Wrestling in its heyday. I went a couple of times to show at the Elks Lodge, on Queens Blvd in Elmhurst, NY. The atmosphere there was incredible.
We all know wrestling is choreographed, but I never knew the extent to which the weekly live television shows were scripted. A recent script of Monday Night Raw was recently leaked online.

I found this very interesting, how everything is planned – every word, every detail.
I still wonder why people are afraid to admit they watch, or watched professional wrestling. Heck, people freely admit to watching things like golf. I guess it’s because there’s a bunch of grown men fake hitting one another. I’m unsure. But as someone who has stepped in a ring, felt the ropes, and most importantly, felt the mat, wrestling is no walk in the park.

I went to a show at the Elks. That place was so friggin hot. I’d leave there soaked in sweat but was never happier. It was worth every cent. I never knew how planned the programming was.
